Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB
The Ravens bled value on every deal, hence the D.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Ravens would have aced it. Shaun Dolac at the Round 6 slot is 131 spots clear of where he belonged. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. It is not that Borregales is a bad player; it is that the Ravens had louder needs to answer first.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In pick No. 27 they get an island corner, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick59 Rnd2 Josaiah Stewart
They did well to land Josaiah Stewart in Round 2, Pick 27, just ahead of his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick91 Rnd3 Anthony Belton
They talked themselves into Anthony Belton at slot 91, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick129 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
They left a pile of value on the table to take Bhayshul Tuten this early at the 129th overall pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick136 Rnd4 Andres Borregales
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Andres Borregales at specialist with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots open.
Pick176 Rnd5 Connor Colby
Connor Colby in pick 176 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick183 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues at pick 183 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick203 Rnd6 Carson Vinson
A real head-scratcher, Carson Vinson in slot 203 is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick210 Rnd6 Shaun Dolac
Shaun Dolac at the 210th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick212 Rnd6 R.J. Mickens
They paid sticker price for R.J. Mickens in Round 6, Pick 36, and that is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick243 Rnd7 Isas Waxter
This one needs a full-page explanation: Isas Waxter in the Round 7 slot, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
