Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureF
The Ravens lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

The Ravens clearly saw something nobody else did in Shaun Dolac, taking him 133 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In pick No. 27 they get a security blanket over the middle, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick28 Rnd1 Luther Burden III
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a weapon on the perimeter. A real need, handled.
Pick29 Rnd1 Jack Sawyer
They paid sticker price for Jack Sawyer in the 29th pick, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick59 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
The board had Marcus Mbow higher than the 59th overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick91 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
Steal is underselling it; Omarr Norman-Lott at pick 91 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick128 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at slot 128 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick132 Rnd4 Luke Kandra
They reached into another round for Luke Kandra, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick136 Rnd4 Quincy Riley
A real head-scratcher, Quincy Riley in the 136th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick176 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
Chase Lundt at slot 176 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick183 Rnd6 Fadil Diggs
Fadil Diggs in pick 183 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick203 Rnd6 Gino Garcia
Gino Garcia at the 203rd pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick206 Rnd6 Shaun Dolac
Shaun Dolac at No. 206 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick210 Rnd6 Phil Mafah
Phil Mafah at pick No. 210 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick212 Rnd6 Drew Kendall
They reached a country mile for Drew Kendall at the Round 6 slot, and the board is aghast. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick236 Rnd7 Isas Waxter
This one needs a full-page explanation: Isas Waxter in the Round 7 slot, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick241 Rnd7 Jackson Hawes
They liked Jackson Hawes enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 241. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick243 Rnd7 Davin Vann
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Davin Vann. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick245 Rnd7 Da'Quan Felton
Da'Quan Felton at pick 245 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
