The steal of the weekend belongs to the Patriots and McDonald: B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Jelani McDonald slide 79 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
