It is the swing that defines the weekend: J.J. Weaver in No. 198, a good 61 spots before the room expected him. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Whatever Quinn Ewers becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They banked enough surplus on Reed-Adams to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
