Hadden should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a B+.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kamal Hadden, the No. 169 name on the board, stolen at the 201st overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Reaching for Bortolini left real value on the table behind him.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
