Best value of the weekend goes to the Patriots for Amos: B+.

The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Trey Amos, the No. 49 name on the board, sitting there at pick 232 like a gift left on the doorstep. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
