When a board-topper like Omarion Hampton slides to Round 3, Pick 19, you do not overthink it, and the Steelers did not. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The cost of the Conner reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most. The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
