The Commanders torched the value chart for Nolan Rucci, taking him 41 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Sarratt.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
