Larceny in slot 228 lands the 49ers a B, Mullings and all.

When a board-topper like Kalel Mullings slides to pick 228, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

The dealing was even money, start to finish.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
