With running back and quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Hit on Jermod McCoy and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
