Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueC+ NeedB- TradesA+ FutureA+
Nobody dealt better than the Packers this weekend: B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Packers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The Williams pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end and interior defensive lineman. If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick54 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
A straight-up fair deal on Zach Frazier at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick58 Rnd2 Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie in slot 58 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick91 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
They did well to land Khyree Jackson in the 91st pick, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick95 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
A reach on Cole Bishop in the 95th overall pick; the board had better options right there. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick120 Rnd4 James Williams
A curious use of pick 120. Tight end and interior defensive lineman needed the pick; a safety in James Williams did not.
Pick121 Rnd4 Javon Foster
No edge and no loss on Javon Foster in No. 121; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick127 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
They paid sticker price for Cedric Gray in pick No. 127, and that is fine. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick133 Rnd4 Marcus Harris
Marcus Harris at Round 4, Pick 33 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick141 Rnd5 Dylan Laube
They went early on Dylan Laube in pick 141, and the value did not follow. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick168 Rnd5 Jordan Travis
They let Jordan Travis come to them and pounced at the 168th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick180 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
They paid up for Jaylan Ford at slot 180 when waiting would have done the job. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick204 Rnd6 Tyrice Knight
Tyrice Knight at the 204th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick216 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Taking Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in Round 6, Pick 41 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick238 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
They read the board right and Tyler Owens was the payoff at pick No. 238. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick243 Rnd7 KT Leveston
KT Leveston at No. 243 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick251 Rnd7 Miyan Williams
A wild overpay on Miyan Williams in the Round 7 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
