Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Bills for Rosengarten: B+.

Somebody in No. 198 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Roger Rosengarten, the No. 146 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Milton III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Kyle Dugger pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Ladd McConkey
They took Ladd McConkey at par in Round 2, Pick 2, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick60 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske in slot 60 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick99 Rnd3 DJ James
DJ James at the 99th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick104 Rnd4 Christian Mahogany
They did well to land Christian Mahogany in the 104th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick129 Rnd4 Ainias Smith
A straight-up fair deal on Ainias Smith at pick 129, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick143 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick159 Rnd5 Xavier Thomas
Xavier Thomas in No. 159 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick162 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Joe Milton III. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick198 Rnd6 Roger Rosengarten
Steal is underselling it; Roger Rosengarten at No. 198 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jalyx Hunt
They barely believed it either: Jalyx Hunt still on the board at Round 6, Pick 27. The roster logic is harder to follow.
Pick206 Rnd6 Isaiah Davis
Somehow Isaiah Davis was still sitting there in pick 206, and they pounced on premier running back value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick246 Rnd7 Edefuan Ulofoshio
Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 246th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
