The Titans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kyle Kennard, the No. 76 name on the board, in pick 239. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
