Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
The Eagles lost the trade table, and the C tells the story.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Eagles did exactly that with Zion Logue in the 240th pick. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On value alone, Vaki makes the weekend a net positive.

If Kool-Aid McKinstry and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In No. 22 they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick53 Rnd2 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
They took Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at par in slot 53, which is nothing to complain about. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick57 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
They jumped the gun on Bralen Trice, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick89 Rnd3 Trey Benson
Trey Benson at pick 89 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick97 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
No drama and no debate, Jalen McMillan went about where he belonged in the 97th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick160 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
By-the-book stuff, Mason McCormick at Round 5, Pick 24 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick171 Rnd5 Walter Rouse
Walter Rouse in slot 171 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick178 Rnd6 Sione Vaki
Sione Vaki at Round 6, Pick 3 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaylan Ford. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick240 Rnd7 Zion Logue
Value said wait; Zion Logue in pick 240 says they were not listening. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
