Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C+
ValueD NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles landed square in the muddy middle: C+.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Eagles took Mac McWilliams a full 115 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Tuten at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

If Jihaad Campbell and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Jihaad Campbell
In pick No. 32 they get the heartbeat of the defense. Need was not the driver here.
Pick64 Rnd2 Andrew Mukuba
A conviction pick on Andrew Mukuba at the 64th pick that the board grades a round light. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick96 Rnd3 Ty Robinson
They reached a country mile for Ty Robinson at Round 3, Pick 32, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134 Rnd4 Mac McWilliams
Value said wait; Mac McWilliams in No. 134 says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick161 Rnd5 Tyler Batty
A big swing on Tyler Batty at the Round 5 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick164 Rnd5 Drew Kendall
This one needs a full-page explanation: Drew Kendall in the 164th overall pick, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jalen McLeod
Jalen McLeod at No. 165 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick168 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 30 is lovely value for the running back. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
