Draft Grade — Eagles

FutureB
The Eagles bet the future on Ewers. The board says F. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Eagles started one anyway for Chris Miller, 285 picks ahead of schedule. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The whole projection now runs through Quinn Ewers; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Quinn Ewers
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get their quarterback of the future, reach and all.
Pick38
Rnd2
J.J. McCarthy
No drama and no debate, J.J. McCarthy went about where he belonged in slot 38. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick60
Rnd2
Michael Pratt
Value said wait; Michael Pratt in the 60th overall pick says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick78
Rnd3
Chris Miller
They reached a country mile for Chris Miller at pick 78, and the board is aghast. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
