Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B to prove it.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the 49ers shredded theirs for Korey Foreman. He came off 117 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In the 11th overall pick they get a wrecking ball inside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick43 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in pick 43 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick75 Rnd3 Jalon Walker
Steal is underselling it; Jalon Walker at slot 75 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick100 Rnd3 Jake Majors
Fair-plus on Jake Majors, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick112 Rnd4 Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo at Round 4, Pick 11 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick137 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. in the 137th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick186 Rnd6 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman in slot 186 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick226 Rnd7 Korey Foreman
They reached a country mile for Korey Foreman at pick No. 226, and the board is aghast. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick230 Rnd7 Raheim Sanders
They barely believed it either: Raheim Sanders still on the board at Round 7, Pick 14. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick249 Rnd7 Jake Briningstool
They robbed the room for Jake Briningstool here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick254 Rnd7 Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
