Larceny in pick No. 226 lands the Bears a A-, Lewis and all.

You build a draft on nights like this. Robert Lewis had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. With edge rusher and cornerback unsolved, spending premium capital on defensive back is the choice that costs them.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Quenton Nelson gives the group a proven body among the projects.
