Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Michael Taaffe got past him. The Patriots do not have to explain a thing at No. 76.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need Greene III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
