Nobody dealt better than the Chiefs this weekend: B+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chiefs spent Round 6, Pick 43 on Tanner McLachlan, a name the board had a full 43 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Getting Perry where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Chiefs had louder needs to answer first.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
