A costly weekend of dealing drags the Patriots to a C.

The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Kain Medrano, 99 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Getting Grant where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
