The Hatten reach set the tone, and the Falcons never recovered: F.

The Hayden Hatten pick is the one that will follow the Falcons into the fall. They took him 75 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. Newton falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left linebacker open, and the grade is the bill.
