The Chargers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chargers spent the Round 7 slot on Matt Lee, a name most had 141 spots down the list. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Colson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback and quarterback still on the board.
That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Colson.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
