Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Seahawks won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Seahawks should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. If Gore Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

On value alone, Robinson makes the weekend a net positive. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
Nice patience on Chop Robinson, who had no business lasting to the 28th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
A reach for Cooper Beebe in Round 2, Pick 13; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick77 Rnd3 Michael Pratt
The board had cheaper options than Michael Pratt at pick No. 77, and it noticed. It fills a real need, too.
Pick79 Rnd3 McKinnley Jackson
McKinnley Jackson in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick97 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
A reach on Brenden Rice in No. 97; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick115 Rnd4 James Williams
James Williams at slot 115 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick152 Rnd5 Cole Bishop
They took Cole Bishop at par in pick 152, which is nothing to complain about. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick193 Rnd6 Dallin Holker
They went early on Dallin Holker in the 193rd overall pick, and the value did not follow. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick236 Rnd7 Frank Gore Jr.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Frank Gore Jr. in the 236th overall pick, miles early. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
