The Falcons let Carter fall into their laps, and walked away with a D-.

The phones were a trap the Falcons kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They will need Griffith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman.

However the rest shakes out, Carter at that price is a win they earned. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
