The phones were a trap the Falcons kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. On value alone, McConkey makes the weekend a net positive.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
