The tape said wait; the Seahawks did not. Devin Leary went at Round 7, Pick 13, a good 57 picks before the board was ready.

It is not that Stover is a bad player; it is that the Seahawks had louder needs to answer first. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

That Devonshire pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
