Conviction outran the board for the Steelers, and it cost them: F.

Nobody else had Joe Milton III anywhere near the Round 4 slot. The Steelers did, by 78 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jackson.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
