A franchise passer in Ward headlines a B weekend for the Dolphins.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Dolphins did exactly that with Oronde Gadsden II in slot 148. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
