The Lions turned the phones into found money: B+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Lions spent the 170th overall pick on Jase McClellan, a name the board had a full 77 spots lower. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Moore pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at offensive lineman, safety and other spots. Getting Alexander where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
