Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Packers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Jaden Hicks at pick No. 92 regardless, 23 picks early. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Bishop pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback, wide receiver and other spots. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Morgan.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In the 25th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Jordan Morgan
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jordan Morgan in No. 41. It fills a real need, too.
Pick60 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
A straight-up fair deal on Edgerrin Cooper at Round 2, Pick 28, value and slot in agreement. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick88 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
By-the-book stuff, TreVeyon Henderson at slot 88 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jaden Hicks
A big swing on Jaden Hicks at the Round 3 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick125 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
The board had Khyree Jackson higher than pick 125, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick128 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
The board had cheaper options than Ben Sinnott at slot 128, and it noticed. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick135 Rnd4 Cole Bishop
They bypassed pressing needs at quarterback, wide receiver and other spots to take Cole Bishop, a safety that was not the priority.
Pick171 Rnd5 Brennan Jackson
Brennan Jackson at pick No. 171 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick203 Rnd6 Joshua Gray
A real head-scratcher, Joshua Gray in the 203rd pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick217 Rnd6 Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan in No. 217 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick219 Rnd6 Brevyn Spann-Ford
They reached a country mile for Brevyn Spann-Ford at Round 6, Pick 44, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick246 Rnd7 Steele Chambers
Steele Chambers in the Round 7 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
