Kcraig1023 DRAFTING FOR THESteelers
Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

FutureB-
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Steelers get a C+. There is reaching, and then there is Cedric Gray at Round 3, Pick 20. The Steelers jumped the board by 31 and dared it to prove them wrong.
Spending an early pick on offensive lineman with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Bullock falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Hit on Amarius Mims and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Amarius Mims
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Amarius Mims. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick51
Rnd2
Zach Frazier
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Zach Frazier adds an offensive lineman and leaves quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots untouched.
Pick84
Rnd3
Cedric Gray
A real head-scratcher, Cedric Gray in pick 84 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick98
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Value with a capital V on Calen Bullock in pick No. 98, a genuine coup. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
