When a board-topper like Kaleb Johnson slides to slot 90, you do not overthink it, and the Saints did not.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Lawson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, cornerback and other spots still on the board. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
