Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall C+
ValueC NeedC+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Steelers land in the muddy middle: C+.

The needs board said one thing and the Steelers did another, using the Round 2 slot on Zach Frazier while quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots waited. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Every board in the league had Guyton lower, and that gap is the story. On value alone, Beebe makes the weekend a net positive.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Tyler Guyton
In No. 20 they get an anchor for the offensive line, a steep price for the projection. Need was not the driver here.
Pick52 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Zach Frazier adds an offensive lineman and leaves quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots untouched.
Pick84 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
Of all the spots to shop, they chose offensive lineman. Cooper Beebe in pick No. 84 leaves quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots for later.
Pick120 Rnd4 Max Melton
Max Melton at No. 120 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick121 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
They took Jarrian Jones at par in slot 121, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
