The Bengals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jaylin Simpson fell into No. 173. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Holker has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
