The 49ers torched the value chart for John Michael Gyllenborg, taking him 107 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. It is not that Payne is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first.
