James should have been long gone. The Titans pounced, and earned a B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. DJ James at slot 123 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

Tagovailoa has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The veteran additions, Justin Madubuike chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
