Trice should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bills were there to profit. Bralen Trice, the No. 69 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 3 slot. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Troy Franklin
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a true top target at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60 Rnd2 Adisa Isaac
Adisa Isaac at the 60th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick99 Rnd3 Bralen Trice
They barely believed it either: Bralen Trice still on the board at slot 99. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick129 Rnd4 Andru Phillips
Value with a capital V on Andru Phillips in pick 129, a genuine coup. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick159 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Nice patience on Tykee Smith, who had no business lasting to the 159th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick162 Rnd5 Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten is a better player than the Round 5 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick198 Rnd6 Jha'Quan Jackson
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jha'Quan Jackson in No. 198, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
