The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Simpson: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Jaylin Simpson, the No. 151 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 6, Pick 28. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Spending an early pick on safety with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
