The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Lions watched Javon Baker slide 21 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
