Larceny in slot 99 lands the 49ers a B, Norman-Lott and all.

Somebody in the 99th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Omarr Norman-Lott, the No. 74 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

It is not that Fitzgerald is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first. They will need Cooper to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
