The phones were a trap the Falcons kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.

They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Reaching for Eichenberg left real value on the table behind him. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.
