The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Cam Ward, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

On value alone, Monangai makes the weekend a net positive. The Kuithe pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

The board had Kenneth Grant higher than Round 2, Pick 2, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

Jayden Higgins in the 65th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ozzy Trapilo at pick 104. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Sebastian Castro at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

Tommi Hill in No. 155 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick221 Rnd7 Brant Kuithe
Brant Kuithe at the 221st overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The roster fit checks out.
Pick248 Rnd7 Kyle Monangai
Taking Kyle Monangai in slot 248 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
