After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Smith pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
