FutureA+
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Giants a A-. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Giants shredded theirs for Trey Wedig. He came off 142 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
Landing Moore that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Will Johnson
In the 15th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. A real need, handled.
Pick34
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Booker at the 34th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick45
Rnd2
Armand Membou
They left a pile of value on the table to take Armand Membou this early at pick No. 45. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick65
Rnd3
Omarr Norman-Lott
Omarr Norman-Lott at the Round 3 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick77
Rnd3
Jihaad Campbell
Somehow Jihaad Campbell was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 13, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick103
Rnd4
Jordan James
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Jordan James in pick 103, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick134
Rnd4
Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore in slot 134 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick153
Rnd5
Trey Wedig
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Trey Wedig well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick219
Rnd7
Steven Parker
This one needs a full-page explanation: Steven Parker in pick 219, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick246
Rnd7
Thor Griffith
Thor Griffith at the 246th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
