Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles robbed the room for Cooper. Final grade: B.

When a board-topper like Edgerrin Cooper slides to pick No. 98, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Worthy proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In No. 22 they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick50 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
Good price on T'Vondre Sweat in Round 2, Pick 18, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick53 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
They paid up for Xavier Worthy at pick 53 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick98 Rnd3 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in the 98th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick161 Rnd5 Dallin Holker
Value with a capital V on Dallin Holker in slot 161, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick171 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
Steal is underselling it; Mason McCormick at pick No. 171 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick172 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in the 172nd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick210 Rnd6 Johnny Dixon
You do not let a cornerback like Johnny Dixon reach the Round 6 slot and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
