Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall

FutureB-
Larceny in pick 58 lands the Falcons a D+, Robinson and all. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Falcons, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.
It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Falcons had louder needs to answer first. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They banked enough surplus on Robinson to cover a lot of smaller sins.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Malik Nabers
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick23
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In the 23rd pick they get a bendy edge with upside, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
They barely believed it either: Olumuyiwa Fashanu still on the board at Round 2, Pick 5. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick58
Rnd2
Chop Robinson
A edge rusher of that caliber at the 58th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick109
Rnd4
Maason Smith
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went DT-EDGE with Maason Smith while clear needs at quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots sat open.
