Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

The Packers' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it.

Phillips has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That Vinson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Benjamin Morrison
In No. 23 they get a sticky cover corner, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
No edge and no loss on Jayden Higgins in the 54th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jordan Phillips
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jordan Phillips. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jacob Parrish
They did well to land Jacob Parrish in the Round 4 slot, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick159 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
By-the-book stuff, Tommi Hill at Round 5, Pick 21 squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick198 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Caleb Rogers. It fills a real need, too.
Pick237 Rnd7 Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson in pick 237 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick250 Rnd7 LaJohntay Wester
They paid sticker price for LaJohntay Wester in slot 250, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
