Draft Grade — Bills

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Bills for Harris: B. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Tre Harris, pick No. 169, roughly 119 picks past where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Dolac has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Spending an early pick on cornerback with quarterback, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
A tidy bit of business in the 30th overall pick, where Jahdae Barron graded well above the range. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick56
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at the 56th pick is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick62
Rnd2
Malaki Starks
Malaki Starks at slot 62 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick94
Rnd3
Grey Zabel
Somehow Grey Zabel was still sitting there in pick 94, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick109
Rnd4
Maxwell Hairston
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Maxwell Hairston adds a cornerback and leaves quarterback, running back and other spots untouched.
Pick169
Rnd5
Tre Harris
Tre Harris at Round 5, Pick 31 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick173
Rnd5
Kyle Kennard
They will replay Kyle Kennard at No. 173 for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick206
Rnd6
Shaun Dolac
Shaun Dolac at the Round 6 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
