Baconzilla DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureA
More right than wrong for the Seahawks, and a B+ to prove it. Every other box got a look, but linebacker did not. The Seahawks will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Morgan. If Milton III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Adding Jamaree Salyer by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick37
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
Jordan Morgan in pick 37 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick78
Rnd3
Brandon Dorlus
Nothing to complain about; Brandon Dorlus went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick81
Rnd3
Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick118
Rnd4
Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks at No. 118 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick142
Rnd5
Beaux Limmer
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Beaux Limmer. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick154
Rnd5
Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in the 154th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick194
Rnd6
Austin Stogner
By-the-book stuff, Austin Stogner at Round 6, Pick 19 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick236
Rnd7
Joshua Cephus
They took Joshua Cephus at par in slot 236, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
